Ghana

Ghana is a country in West Africa, its name roughly translates to “Warrior King” from the ancient Ghana Empire. It borders Togo to the east, Burkina Faso to the north, Ivory Coast to the west, and the Gulf of Guinea in the Atlantic Ocean to the south. The capital city of Ghana is Accra, its official language is English and its currency is cedi. Ghana is one of the world’s largest producer of Gold and Cacao. Ghana is the first sub-saharan country to obtain total independence, this move inspired and encouraged many other countries to fight for independence. Accra is the capital city of Ghana, the name Accra is derived from the Akan word “Nkran” meaning “ants”. The name specifically refers to soldier ants.
